With this, Chennai have reached the top of the table with 8 points. RCB suffered their first defeat in the season and the team is second with 8 points.

Jadeja, who was named Man of the Match, said after the win, ‘I was thinking of hitting the ball in the final over. Mahi Bhai (Mahendra Singh Dhoni) had already told me that Harshal Patel would do the ball on off stump and I was ready for it. I was able to connect right to the ball and the team reached the score of 191. The final over was very important for us. I knew I could score more runs if I was on strike. Today was not my day, i was able to just run out (laughing) I am very happy with him.’ He continued, ‘I enjoyed the game to the fullest today. It feels much better when you make a significant contribution to the team’s victory. I work my fitness and talent. Fortunately, today on the field too managed to show amazing. I never work on all three things in training, batting, bowling and fielding, I work on my talent once and then on fitness the next day. That’s how I manage workworld.’
Jadeja (62*) and opener Faf Duplessi (50) scored half-centuries for Chennai in the match. Duplessy hit 5 fours and a six off 41 balls while Jadeja hit 4 fours and 5 sixes off 28 balls in a stormy manner. Pacer Harshal Patel top-scored for RCB with 3 wickets but plundered 51 runs. Chasing the target, only four Bangalore batsmen, Devdutt Padikkal (34), Glenn Maxwell (22), Kyle Jasmine (16) and Mohammad Siraj (12*) could touch the tens mark. Apart from Jadeja, spinner Imran Tahir took 2 wickets for 16 runs while Sam Karen and Shardul Thakur took 1 wicket each.
